Starting in 2014, the Texas A&M Angora Goat Test was held at the Sonora Station on pasture rather than in a feedlot. The format change was brought about primarily because of the high cost of feed and a desire to obtain more information on the buck’s ability to produce in a range environment. The bucks had access to a mineral supplement and were fed a limited amount of supplemental feed. Because of the different environment, performance after 2014 can not be directly compared with performance in prior years. Potential buyers can contact the participating breeders with questions about bucks that are available for sale.
