Feed Milling Equipment on Sealed Bid

Texas A&M AgriLife Research is seeking sealed bid offers for a feed milling system located at 7887 US Hwy 87 N, San Angelo, TX 76901.

Viewing of the equipment will only be accepted on the following open house dates:

  • Monday, April 27th, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Tuesday, April 28th, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  • Friday, May 8th, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  • Saturday, May 9th, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Visitors must check in at the main office. Upon arrival, use the sidewalk on the highway side where the statue of a sheep is located (North side of Building). Ring the doorbell located at the front entrance and we will have a representative give you further instructions at check-in.

Print to submit a bid

Prospective bidders must print and submit a bid using the bid submission form linked below. The winning bidder must also submit the signed buyer information and item release form before items can be removed.

Description of items for auction

This system contains the following components on a three-phase platform:

Feed Storage

  • (2) grain bins with cones, a joining platform, and augers in fair condition, mounted outside.
    Storage capacity is not measured. Bin (1) is 4 rings, and bin (2) is 3 rings. Approx. 360- and
    540-bushel.
  • (1) grain bin in good condition with cone and auger stored inside. Storage capacity is not
    measured. Approx. 144 bushels.

Feed Milling

  • (1) Marion Mixer paddle blender, mounted on legs and stored inside. Model # SPC-3672. 45
    cu ft.
  • (1) 3 hp. electric conveyor system. Rapat F Series rubber paddle with cover and discharge
    hood. Length unknown, Model #F2318
  • (1) Roller mill, no brand. 2 hp motor.
  • (1) feed buggy with Central City Scale and dolly. Approx. 6-bushel capacity. Stored inside.
  • (1) Gravity feed hopper stored inside. Storage capacity not measured, bin is two rings.
    Approx. 36-bushel capacity.
  • (1) Scaffold system with stairs for feed milling components. Expanded metal platforms and
    welded frame.

Equipment will be available for viewing only during Open House dates.

Sale Terms and Agreement

Feed storage and milling system on surplus sale through sealed bid.

This feed mill system is located at the AgriLife Research and Extension Center at San Angelo. 7887 US Hwy 87 N, San Angelo, TX 76901.

Item is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, with NO WARRANTIES implied or expressed; equipment preview is highly recommended, and bidding without previewing is strongly discouraged. The feed mill system has not been used since 2020.

The winning bidder will acknowledge and accept without recourse that they have purchased the above item(s) at a public auction “AS IS, WHERE IS” without warranty or guarantee of any kind. The winner agress not to stop payment, dispute, cancel, or otherwise contest the transaction. No allowance, refund,
credit or set-aside will be made.

Payment terms

The auction winner will be notified by 5:00 PM on Monday, May 18th.

Payment is due by Friday, May 22nd, at 5:00 PM.

Additional bidders may not receive notification of sale results until payment is made. Failure to provide payment within 5 days of notification results in forfeiture of winnings.

Proof of insurance

All buyers must provide proof of liability insurance.

Equipment Removal Timeline

The proposed timeline for removal and transport must be included in the bidding package. This must include the planned number of days needed for removal, the proposed two-week period for the work, the machinery used for loading, and the type of trailer to be loaded. Item Removal is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY and must be scheduled within 10 business days of auction close. Contact information for scheduling: Eddie Dusek at 325-716-7499 or eddie.dusek@ag.tamu.edu.

All equipment must be removed and off-site by July 1st, 2026.

Removal work cannot be started or extended over more than 2 weeks’ time. We reserve the right to charge a storage fee if the work is started and extends past two weeks at $50 per day. All metal shavings, bolts, parts, pieces, and debris from the removal process must be cleaned up by the equipment owner at the end of every day.

Additional Details

The San Angelo Center yard can accommodate tractor-trailers.

Yard gates will lock at 5:00 PM on weekdays. Weekend access to the yard must be arranged in advance with the Research Center Manager.

The yard is locked after business hours; however, personal belongings left on site after hours are not the responsibility of Texas A&M AgriLife Research.

The feed milling system will require significant dismantling for transport.

Interior equipment has been disconnected from the power source; however, conduit remains installed. All conduit and switches attached to equipment go with the system.

Building roll-up doors are believed to be 14’; however, bidders should verify actual
dimensions themselves. Exterior bins are bolted down, and concrete blocks go with the
bins.

Please bring EXACT CHANGE if paying by cash. Texas A&M AgriLife Research will not be able to accept cash payments for auction purchases unless you have the correct amount.

Item removal

Item Removal is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY and must be scheduled within 10 business days of auction close. Schedule with Eddie Dusek at 325-716-7499 or eddie.dusek@ag.tamu.edu

There will be no assistance available from Texas A&M AgriLife Research employees for removal and transportation of items won. Removal of items is the winning bidders’ responsibility. If items are not removed before July 1st, 2026, items will be added to a following auction. No Exceptions! Please present a copy of your paid receipt and a valid Government issued picture ID when picking up all items. Written authorization must be provided to the seller allowing a person other than the buyer named on the paid receipt to pick up items.
